Why Fostering Changes Lives

Fostering is a short-term commitment with a long-term impact. You'll provide individualized attention, helping puppies grow stronger, recover from trauma, and get ready for their forever homes. Every foster home makes a difference, and you’ll experience the joy of watching a puppy flourish.

Foster Opportunities

We offer several foster opportunities, and all new fosters start with our “big kids” before working their way down to younger puppies and neonates if they’re interested and ready for that level of care.

Neonatal Specialists (Under 2 weeks)

Age: Under 2 weeks
Placement: Up to 4 puppies

Our most critical babies—those under 2 weeks old or requiring advanced care—go to experienced neonatal specialists. These fosters provide round-the-clock care, including feedings, medical attention, and monitoring.

Bottle Baby Fosters (2-7 weeks)

Age: 2–7 weeks
Placement: 3–4 puppies

Bottle baby fosters provide frequent feedings and consistent, hands-on care as puppies transition from bottle feeding to solid food. This role suits fosters who are home often and can keep up with the puppies’ feeding and care schedule.

Big Kid Fosters (7–12 weeks)

Age: 7–12 weeks
Placement: 2 puppies

Big kid fosters help two puppies build confidence through socialization, new experiences, and introductions to potty training and crate training.

Teen Fosters (12 weeks until adoption)

Age: 12 weeks until adoption
Placement: 1 puppy

Teen fosters care for one puppy, continuing socialization, potty training, and crate training while helping them prepare for life in an adoptive home.
