Big Wins: Grants That Build Hope

This month we celebrated a huge milestone with a $500 grant and a $500 matching grant. Thanks to your generosity, we raised the full match and funded our first incubator orphan puppy care kits. These kits—packed with incubators, miracle nipples, bottles, formula, and blankets—will head to shelters in September, giving orphaned puppies the chance to survive their most fragile moments.

Forever Families: Dogust Adoptions

August is known as “Dogust,” the universal birthday for shelter pets—and we celebrated in the best way possible: 17 adoptions! That’s 17 puppies leaping into forever homes, surrounded by families who will love them for a lifetime.

Heartbreak We Carry With Us

Rescue isn’t all happy endings. This month we said goodbye to sweet Daniela, who was born with a liver shunt. Though her journey was short, she knew love, warmth, and care every day she was with us. Losses like these are painful, but they remind us why our mission is so important.

The Heroes Behind the Scenes

Our fosters and volunteers are the true heartbeat of Blazin’ Trails. From 2 a.m. bottle feedings to emergency vet visits and endless snuggles, their devotion is the reason so many fragile puppies survive. Thanks to them, we maintained an 81.5% survival rate in August—a number that represents countless hours of love and sacrifice.

Looking Ahead: September on the Horizon

We can’t wait to deliver our first Shelter Orphan Puppy Survival Kits this September and see them save lives right where they’re needed most. With your continued support, we’ll keep rescuing, healing, and celebrating new beginnings.
